Care that starts with listening

We started Sanford Health Centre to close a real gap: too many families were travelling too far, and paying too much, for basic care. Today we combine outpatient services with community outreaches and home visits so that health education testing and treatment services reach people wherever they are.

Why we're here, and where we're going

Began as a small community drugshop, Sanford Health Centre desires to grow from a community drugshop into a fully equiped accessible and sustainable health facility capable of providing a wider range of quality health care services under one roof.

Founding story

Sanford Health Centre began as a community drugshop serving a neighbourhood with too few affordable options for basic care. As demand grew, so did our services from simple consultations to testing, chronic disease management, home visits and organised community outreaches

Community gaps we address

Long travel distances, high out-of-pocket costs and limited access to diagnostic testing keep many families from seeking care early. We work to close each of these gaps directly, through affordable pricing, home visits and community outreaches.

Vision & goals

Our long-term roadmap is to transition from a community drugshop into a fully-equipped permanent health facility Sanford Health Centre with expanded service capacity for long-term, sustainable healthcare.

We are committed to keeping essential services within reach of underserved families, and we lean on support and contribution from the Sanford family, friends of our beloved Mum Nelly, well widhers and community support to subsidise care for those who need it most.

In memory of Nelly Sanford

Sanford Health care center was founded in loving memory of Nelly Sanford.

An extraordinary woman of faith whose compassion transformed countless lives including my own.

At one of the most difficult seasons of my life, Nelly welcomed me with kindness, dignity, and unwavering support. She believed in me when I struggled to believe in myself, offering not only practical help, but genuine love, encouragement, and hope. Her generosity extended far beyond me, touching many people with a servant's heart and deep commitment to care for others.

The vision of Sanford Health care Center was born from the desire to carry forward the values she lived every day: compassion, generosity, excellence, and service to those in need. Every patient we serve, every community outreach we conduct, and every life we help improve is part of continuing the legacy she began.
